BTL Composite PU College is situated on a spacious 2.75-acre campus at Kesare, Naidunagar, Mysore. Established in 2011, it grew from a simple initiative: to provide quality, cost-effective education to students of all sectors of society, at an affordable fee structure — treating education as a fundamental right, not a burden. We take special care in recruiting faculty, with lecturers who received their graduation and post-graduation from the best universities across the state, with distinction. Set amidst nature in a healthy, serene and peaceful environment, we encourage students in co-curricular activities and sports, and provide training in computer skills, spoken English and career development to mould them into complete professionals. We charge no donation — only a nominal tuition fee, payable in three instalments across the academic year.

Prof. B.T Lakshman was born and brought up in a modest family in Huluvenahalli, Karnataka. He obtained his M.E. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (then the University of Roorkee), and his M.S. from the University of Delaware. A Civil Engineer by profession, he served as Chief Engineer at Artesian Water Company, Delaware, USA.
The hardships he faced growing up, and the struggles he overcame to receive his own education, gave him a vision: quality education for students from rural areas and weaker sections, at affordable fees. That vision led him to found BTL Educational Trust for Rural Development in 1979, headquartered at Bommasandra, Bangalore. He went on to found BTL PU College at Kesare, Mysore, in 2011, bringing affordable and reachable education to people of all sections of society — and has the credit of educating several students who hold high positions in society today.
Apoorva Lakshman is the daughter of Founder Chairman Late B.T Lakshman. She holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Mysore, and believes in introducing new methods in education and employee management. Under her, no student is deprived of the exposure they need — every student receives every facility, irrespective of their background, religion, caste or creed.

English is compulsory as the First Language. Kannada and Hindi are available as options for the Second Language.
